Kite surfing: Greatstone Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: 12-15kts Surf / Sea State: Lovely smooth waves Air Temperature: 13 Sea Temperature: Not too bad Weather: Warm sun! Max Speed: Distance Covered:
What an amazing day! Warm sun, a light breeze... just perfick!
This was my first time at Greatstone and what they say is true: It's a hell
of a walk to the water, but worth it when you get there. Lovely little
waves, shallow for miles out, and far more open than Camber.
Had a good hour or so and tried some toeside and slide turns, but found the
big board a little cumbersome. Some nice little hops though.
As the wind was holey, I dropped the kite a couple of times. Third time
around the lines wrapped around the main bladder valve and pulled out the
stopper. Game over! Especially as it was about 15 mins walk back to the
van. Decided to quit while I was ahead, but would have liked to have kept
going a bit longer.
